Vacancy: Bowser / Tank Farm Operator

Job Summary
- This position is responsible for ensuring that fueling of aircrafts for serviced airlines are delivered and discharged properly into the aircraft in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that trucks received from loading depot are discharged and bowser are accurately loaded
Job Role: Bowser Operator
- Ensuring the bowsers are properly loaded before driving to fuel
- Conducting visual checks on the bowsers equipment before driving out to fuel
- Driving of the bowser to the ramp for aircraft fueling
- Obtaining a sample of the product for a visual check before fueling
- Discharging of the fuel into the appropriate aircraft
- Maintaining a good relationship with the respective airline sales officers
- Providing invoice to each department after successful fueling
- Ensuring accurate reconciliation of daily sales
- Ensure compliance with regulatory health, safety and environment standards
- Performing of other duties as assigned.
Job Role: Tank Farm Operator
- Discharging of trucks
- Recording and reporting all variances from product receipt
- Loading of Bowsers
- Dipping of tanks and bowsers
- Stock reconciliation
- Conduct quality control checks on Jet A-1
- Carry out basic daily control checks on product in tanks and bowser
- Report any differences that signifies off-spec product
- Recording of all activities pertaining to receipt and loading
Requirements
Competency and Skill Requirements
- Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with all levels within the organization.
- Capable of working independently and with minimum supervision.
- Teachable and willing to learn quickly.
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Logical approach to identifying and evaluating issues and problem-solving.
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
- Demonstrated job commitment and personal flexibility to meet changing expectations.
- Commitment to self-development and expansion of knowledge.
- Creative and possessing a keen eye for details.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Social science
- Driving Experience
- Experience in HSE is an added advantage
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel.
